Kandos and Rylstone are truly one of Australia's best kept secrets. Take in the wineries, restaurants, galleries and Dunns Swamp. Don't forget the beautiful Capertee Valley in which your B&B is located. Or just laze about and unwind at Lansallos by reading a book or walking.
Use Lansallos® as your first destination for your loop through either the Central West and beyond to places like Dubbo, Barrington Tops, Parkes and Cowra or The Coastal Loop through Gulgong, Merriwa and Barrington Tops to Forster or Port Stephens.
Combining the details of "For the traveller", you can also include trips to the old gold mining areas of Hill End and Sofala, Bathurst and Orange. Don't forget Dubbo which is home to The Western Plains Zoo.

The main access point is at Dunns Swamp where swimming, canoeing, good walking and river cruises are available. Other access points are at Mt Coricudgy. Features are prominent basalt capped peaks, temperate rain forest and wet eucalypt forest.
